Tips and tricks
Here are some tips and tricks for your stay in Hamburg.
Tango Chocolate is only 1/2h from Hamburg Airport (HAM) or Hamburg main station (Hbf) by public transport.
Important: you cannot buy tickets in the buses. You should install the official HVV App in advance (for iOS or Android)! At some stations there are vending machines, but you cannot count on it.
Of course, we would prefer to see you at the Festivalito, but if you're in Hamburg for the first time or if you can extend your stay, you'll find some useful tips below!
Hotels
You'll find lots of hotels in the neighborhood
The cheapest one is:
ibis Hamburg Alsterring
Pappelallee 61
22089 Hamburg
Germany

Övelgönne Beach
Having a coffee at Strandperle, walking in the sand along the Elbe river in the morning when the sun rises… from the Museumshafen you can take a ferry (included in a daily HVV ticket) to Landungsbrücken and start your touristic day!
Eating at Nuggis Elbkate: Salsa music and Fischbrötchen, Souvenirs

Alter Elbtunnel
A tunnel between Landungsbrücken and Steinwerder from 1911, just used for pedestrians and bikes. Beautiful harbour view (free entrance 24/7).

Fischmarkt
Traditional market from the 17th century, but now very commercial. Dont miss the "Fischerauktionshalle" where the party people of the night have their last drink and where there is always live music!
Sundays between 05:00 und 09:30 (no entrance fee).

Harbour Area
The famous port of Hamburg with historical ships like Cap St. Diego, Rickmer Rickmers, etc.
Make a cruise (very expensive) or better take the public ferry (incl. in the HVV day ticket).
Recommended eating at "Brücke 10": the best Fischbrötchen are there. In the back starts the party boat "MS Hedi“ (tickets have to be bought long time in advance, but it's fun!)

Elbphilharmonie
Tickets for concerts have to be booked long time in advance but you should visit the plaza: the escalator is amazing , you can buy a drink at the bar and enjoy the beautiful harbour view (free entrance, but you need a ticket available here).

Grüner Bunker
Bunker from World War II, now a memorial with commercial use. Good view in all directions from the top, no elevator, a lot of steps.
